Several months ago Bath Canoe Club booked a "rough water handling" course for 17th, 18th April. The weekend came around with warm sunny weather, very light winds and the smoothest seas of the year! Saturday's circumnavigation of Ramsey Island was one of the flattest John and Martin could remember, this allowed some incredible cave exploration and wildlife watching. After a long relaxed lunch on the island (with 2 of the group having an unplanned siesta), The Bithes provided everyone with plenty of rough water. The day finished at sunset on Whitesands Beach, followed by dinner in the pub.

The swell picked up just enough on Sunday for a mellow North Coast rock hopping trip. The sun shone and the wind remained light and apart from the HUGE wave which left a hole in Martin's boat it was flat enough to explore the spectacular caves.
