Charity Challenge
Mike Whittingham and his wife Christine have organised a unique charity challenge to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Mike will walk and kayak the Pembrokeshire National coastal path within a 10 day period, starting at St Dogmaels in the north on 24th June and finishing at Amroth in the south on 3rd July. The 186 mile coastal path follows one of Europe’s most beautiful coastlines and Mike will be joined by friends along the route.
Why Cancer Research UK?
Mike said “Many of us have been very close to this terrible disease nursing relatives and friends in their battle. All challenges require a personal motivation so that when it gets tough we can call upon that extra personal memory to inspire us to finish. The pain and discomfort we may go through will provide a succinct reminder of why we are embarking on this challenge.”
Sea kayak Guides are helping to support Mike with the paddling stages of the challenge.
